Swansea – The City by the Sea – is a stunningly diverse city and for over 50 years the Swansea Market is a must visit place, offering many stores, coffee shops and pubs, from locally sourced foods through to handmade jewellery.
You can’t be bored in Swansea with activities on offer, such as, surfing, paddle boarding, kitesurfing, coasteering, mountain biking and wild swimming to name a few of the activities on offer, and the Grand Theatre has regular shows, from musicals, theatre productions and comedy nights.
The annual Beach Sculpture Festival runs through the summer months, covering several beaches in the Swansea Bay area.

Transport Links for Students in Swansea
Swansea is well served by train linking the city to the rest of the UK and by investing in a 16-25 Railcard, you will benefit from good savings on standard class rail tickets, the cost is £30 but you will soon make that back on a few trips.
All our houses are in the favoured student areas, of Uplands and Brynmill, with great transport links, coffee shops, eateries and bars and most importantly a stroll or cycle ride from Uni Singleton campus. There are easy and regular bus services also to the Bay campus.
