Plymouth is a bit of a shoppers’ paradise, (the largest centre for shopping in the South West of England), with the Drake Circus Shopping Mall, offering undercover shopping, to The Barbican and the Royal William Yard, which encompasses lovely bars and restaurants, some offering great views of the harbour, you can also arrive in the Royal William Yard by taking the ferry service from the Barbican Landing Stage.

Plymouth is well served by both train and bus services, linking the city to the rest of the UK, and has great offerings of ferry and airport links too with Exeter and Newquay airport all within easy reach.
Don’t forget to invest in a 16-25 Railcard, giving good savings on standard class rail tickets, the cost is £30 but you will soon make that back on a few trips.
Both the No Place Inn and the Mutley Tavern, converted pubs with lots of character, are within walking distance of local shops, bars, cafes and restaurants as well and the Uni and both within a stones throw of local parks and gardens.
